DUO ADAPT PRO

I purchased the ”Adapt” model in addition to my previous purchase of ”Direct” no-pull model for my 150 lb Newfie. The ”Direct” had immediately changed my newfie’s behavior from a timid city-walker and sometime lunger to a confident companion. So now I can use the ”Adapt” model in less populated settings. It also gives me a lot of control and confidence as a walker, and more confidence for my dog. For city walks I always go back to the ”Direct” no-pull model. The ”Adapt” is super high quality, unique harness, very sturdy, fantastic design, and it has changed mine and my newfie’s lives for the better. I ordered from Europe and it was well worth it.

We opted for the Duo Adapt after borrowing one from a friend. What a difference! Our dog had gotten in the habit of backing up to throw the harness we had. Not any more.
Heavy duty construction and the metal buckles are a slick work of art.
When my fingers get tired of working with the cheap plastic buckles on our other dog's harness, we will be ordering one for her too.

My doggo is a sweet girl with too much energy. She pulls, and all of her harnesses pull her wait out. I've tried multiple harnesses and different types of collars (regular and martingale). We're working on training and this harness has help SO much! She is easier to maintain. She is finally starting to notice the high rewards treats instead of ripping my arm off trying to get away and get the birds.

My Pittipotomus pouch has slipped out of every harness I've gotten him. This is the only brand that has kept him contained. Thanks for that.

We got one for our 35 pound 3 month old puppy, and it was a nice safe way to keep her controlled with her puppy impulse control issues (typical NEW PERSON NEW DOG stuff). Very humane for holding her back on the leash as well as lifting/controlling her with the handle. She grew out of the impulse issues, and the harness. Made a great charitable item for the local shelter. Now at 115 pounds we were looking for a better way to control her during occasional impulse issues, and figured a bigger one would give us the same control without harming her neck on a plain collar. It gives us peace of mind when she occasionally strains on the leash, and the handle is a great way to keep her on a sit/stay in case she decides to try our patience. It does NOT help when trying to lift a 115 pound dog, but that is definitely NOT the harnesses fault....

As an owner of a giant breed dog, I have found it very difficult to find a harness to fit my male Great Dane, Max. Weighing in at 170 pounds, I have never found a harness for him that actually fits and performs as promised until now. The Duo Tech harness fits him perfectly and allows me to maintain control of him on a leash without a struggle. I highly recommend this harness for giant breeds, which are often overlooked by many brands. Thank you for your amazing American made products.

Finally a harness big enough for my Timber!!

My dog is an escape artist and this harness helps me feel so secure walking him, know he will not freak out. It does not help my dog too much with pulling, but that’s not the harness’s fault, but lack of training on my part. I’ve had this for 3 years and it’s still going strong. High quality and the customer service is fantastic. I’ve contacted them using the chat feature and my question was answered promptly and they were willing to help me out with my issue. They certainly stand by this product. I have recommended it to so many people struggling with dogs who tend to wiggle free from other harnesses. This harness also does not affect his range of motion unlike other harnesses similar to this one. No idea what kept me from writing this review for so long! Please consider this harness for your pup, you will not regret it.

I just purchase the American Adapt security harness and tried it on my dog. The harness worked flawlessly on my dog that is an escape artist and puller. When I put the harness on, she instantly understood the idea that she had to stop and walk in a controlled manner. The product not only functions the way it is described, it is very well made and will stand the test of time. Customer service is second to none. If you have a question they are there to answer it. Buy this product!!!!

Hands down the best harness on the market if you need complete control. I rollerblade dogs and knowing I can fully trust the Adapt harness gives me the piece of mind I need when we’re out. Thanks again, especially to Gio!

I have a saint bernard that weighs about 160-170lbs. I have bought harness after harness for three years and nothing fit right. It just seemed impossible because of the loose skin. IF a harness fit it slid around so much he could pull out of it. I wish I could post pictures to show a comparison.
My saint is reactive to people, if he sees someone he immediately wants to go play. As you can imagine a 32in tall 160lb saint bernard that pulls is a NIGHTMARE. In the last 8 months he has ripped the stitching out of 3 harnesses and broke the buckle on his head halter. I came across the Duo-Adapt and despite hesitation on the price I decided to try it.
I ordered the largest size and when it arrived I was super excited. It did take awhile getting it fitted to him but it actually fit! It wasn't too tight or loose in certain areas which is a miracle. I took him to the vet the next day and he tested the strength of the harness and got nowhere.
Because of the reactivity I haven't been able to walk Gomer in two years, but this harness is a game changer. It helps with pulling for sure, but most importantly is I trust in the fit and strength of the Adapt harness.
Not only that but when a buckle cracked (my fault, not theirs) I contacted customer service and they gave me no issues at all with replacing/repairing it at no cost other than shipping.
As expensive as this harness was I would 100% recommend and purchase it again. In fact my brother is planning to order one for his husky soon!

This harness is great on our kelpie boy! He doesn’t pull on it and it doesn’t bother him/effect his running when off lead. It is a great design, super adjustable and sturdy. Would definitely recommend!

The Adapt Harness was such a blessing when we adopted our Newfie. Knowing that he couldn't slip out of it as we got to know each other gave me so much confidence when out for our walks. We both love it!

This unique harness works great with my little dog who pulls like an ox and is always trying to run away! I feel better knowing that he's more secure. Well-made and sturdy.

Really pleased with the Adapt harnesses I ordered for my two sometimes-nervous dogs. They fit securely, stay in place, keep leashes out of the way of the dogs’ feet, and are super easy to get on and off. Dogs seem to enjoy wearing them too!

I’m thrilled with the Duo harness for my rescued dog. He likes it so much that he slides his head in when I hold it up for him. Earlier i had to chase after him to put on his collar.

It's a very good harness, I'm not afraid to lose my dog, I'm more afraid of the harness leave it in pulling, super quality!

I love how my dog feels secure and hugged with this harness. Really nice design and materials.
